Ola Mae Watson Harvey

Mrs. Ola Mae Watson Harvey, age 91 of Hamlet passed to her Heavenly home on February 13, 2021.

Ola Mae was the loving daughter of the late Willard Watson, Sr., and Lilly Sessoms Watson born August 21, 1929 in Hoke County, North Carolina, and the devoted wife to the late Marvin H. Harvey.  She was a Godly woman who dedicated her life to serving the Lord and caring for her family as a homemaker.  She was a member of the Gibson Church of God, loved reading her Bible and visiting the sick. She loved quilting and was an amazing cook, especially baking and her famous biscuits.  Above all, she loved family and treasured her time with each of them.  She was a precious mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend who will truly be missed.

Along with her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by all of her siblings, James Watson, Frank Watson, Willard Watson, Jr., Anna Cribb, Mildred Bennett and Pomilee Watson.

She leaves behind her children, son, Randy Harvey (Tina) of Rockingham, and daughters, Linda H. Conner (William) of Hamlet, Janice H. Benton (Larry) of Rockingham, Becky H. Thompson (Woodie) of Hamlet, Darlene H. Scott (Ray) of Hamlet; her adoring seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren; many loving nieces, nephews, and a dear friend and caregiver, Shirley Brayboy.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel with burial following in Eastside Cemetery, Rockingham, NC.   A time of viewing will be from 1:00 until 1:50 p.m. prior to service on Wednesday at the funeral home.

COVID-19 restriction will require facial mask or covering, social distancing with limited attendance for all services.
