Norma Jean (Roberts) Guinn

Norma Jean Roberts Guinn, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed to her Heavenly home at the age of 73 on August 15, 2023.

Norma was born March 31, 1950, loving daughter of the late James Martin Roberts and the late Allene Faircloth Roberts.  She was a devoted homemaker who loved following her children and grandchildren to all of their sporting events.   Norma worked for many years with G.B. Baines and Associates caring for their clients accounting needs until her retirement.  She also served as a faithful member of New Hope Baptist Church.  Norma cherished her family, especially time shared with her grandchildren.  She was a kind and compassionate lady who will dearly be missed by each of her loved ones.

Norma is survived by her devoted husband of 51 years, John Allen “Sonny” Guinn of their home; son, John “Allen” Guinn, Jr., of New London, and daughter, Erin Guinn Hoover (Brent) of Laurinburg; her precious grandchildren, Andrew Guinn, Thomas Guinn, Allyann Guinn, Scarlet Hoover, Anna Grace Hoover and Clara Hoover; brothers, James “Jim” Martin Roberts, Jr., (Debbie) of Maxton; sisters, Betty Sheppard (Greg) and Susan Ensminger (Arthur) each of Laurinburg; loving nieces, nephews, extended family and many devoted friends.

The Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 17, 2023 at New Hope Baptist Church officiated by Pastor Michael Malpass.   The family will have a time of visitation prior to the service beginning at 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church.
