Mirriam Dial Locklear, age 73 of Wagram passed away Saturday, April 24, 2021.
Mirriam was born August 16, 1947 in Robeson County, daughter of the late Benford Dial and Zela Mae Miller Dial. She retired after many years from J. P. Stevens and was a member of Turnpike Baptist Church. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzels, fishing, and sewing. Above all she enjoyed spending time with her family. Mirriam was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who will truly be missed.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by brothers, Jerry Dial, Herman Bell Dial; half-brothers, Phil Dial and Benford Dial, Jr.
Mirriam is survived by her husband of 27 years, Paul Grandford Locklear of the home; sons, Fred Locklear (Peggy) of Wagram, Billy Ray Locklear (Mary) of Laurinburg; daughter, Tina Marie Locklear of Wagram; sisters, Sue Tina Lewis (Vernon) of Pembroke, Patricia Martin of Lumberton, Janifer Shoemake of Jacksonville, FL; half brothers and sisters, Carolyn Smith of Rowland, Cornelius Dial of New Mexico, Sylvia Chavis of Pembroke, Nelson Dial, Lottie Ruth Chavis, both of Maxton; sister-in-law, Pauline Dial; grandchildren, Justin Ray Locklear, Lindsey Locklear, Quinton Locklear, Noylan Estrada, Donovan Williams, Dakota Locklear, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at Turnpike Baptist Church, with burial following in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at Richard Boles Funeral Service.
