Mary Grace Allen Church was born August 27, 1955 to the late Luther Allen and Mary Helen English Allen Williams. She was married September 20, 1976 to Ronald L. Church and they shared 31 loving years until his passing in 2007. She had a passion for children and loved her work as a Teacher’s Assistant retiring after many years from the Marlboro County School System. Gracie faithfully served the Lord and loved sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all she encountered. She was a longtime member of the Living Water Church of God where she loved singing praises to her Lord. She also enjoyed her time making and sharing crafts. Gracie’s joy and loving spirit will be treasured by all those she loved, especially by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She passed to her Heavenly home on February 5, 2021 at the age of 65.
Along with her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by sisters, Duncan Currie and Teresa Allen.
Grace leaves behind her children, Owena Greene of Laurinburg, and Stephen Church (Amy) of Cameron; her adoring grandchildren, Seaira, Haden, Hanna, Lyla; great grandchildren, Tristan, Xander, and Christopher; brothers, Rex Allen (Rhonda) of Cummings, GA, Jeff Thomas of Washington; along with her nieces, nephews and a host of loving family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, February 8, 2021 at the Living Water Church of God with burial following in Hillside Memorial Park. A time of viewing will be from 1:30 until 3:00 p.m. prior to services on Monday at the church.
