Mary Frances (Benton) Stevens

Mary Frances Benton Stevens, age 63 of Laurel Hill passed away Saturday, November 2, 2019.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, November 7, 2019 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel, officiated by Pastor Richard Tyson. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery.

Mary was a daughter of the late Wilbert Benton, Sr. and Retha Mae Ellis Benton, born on   July 24, 1956 in Scotland County. She retired after many years from Dana Industry and attended New Life Pentecostal Holiness Church. Mary enjoyed traveling by Amtrak train and spending time walking on the beach. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She will forever be missed as a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Robert Benton and Wilbert Benton, Jr. and sister, Linda Diane Benton.

Mary leaves behind her husband, Richard Stevens of the home; son, Ronnie P. Gray, Jr. (Cassie) of Laurinburg; sister, Carlisa Tyson (Marshall) of Laurel Hill; grandchildren, Hannah Gray, Anthony Herndon; great grandchildren, Winston Herndon and Roree Herndon, along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at Richard Boles Funeral Service.
