Martin Luther Jacobs, age 69 of Wagram passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2020.

Martin was born October 10, 1950 in Robeson County, son of the late Queen Ester Jacobs Brock. He was a Veteran who proudly served in the United States Marine Corp. In earlier years, he worked for Sinclair Lumber and enjoyed working with his brother, Floyd in the construction business. He attended Leland Grove Freewill Baptist Church and loved traveling to the mountains. Martin also enjoyed coaching softball and served as the former coach for the Laurinburg Rednecks.

He is survived by his daughter, Sherry Jacobs (Bryan Lett) of Wagram; brothers, Floyd Richard Locklear (Katie) of McColl, SC, James Roy Davis (Lynn Klemme) of Fountain Inn, SC; grandson, James A. Cottingham, Jr. (Kaleigh), great granddaughter, Jaleigh Cottingham, along with a host of loving nieces, nephews and many friends.

A Memorial service will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday, August 2, 2020 at Leland Grove Freewill Baptist Church. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Sunday from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. at the church.

 

Due to the current COVID-19 Mandates, facial masks or coverings are requested and attendance will be limited.
