Marshall Eugene "Gene" Tyson

Marshall Eugene “Gene” Tyson, age 52 of Laurinburg passed away February 13, 2021.

Gene was born February 5, 1969 in Scotland County, son of Marshall Tyson and Carlisa Benton Tyson. He worked as an automotive mechanic, enjoyed working on cars and watching racing. He was a member of East Laurinburg Baptist Church. Gene will always be remembered for his love of helping others and the times he spent with family and friends.

He is survived by his children, Tiffany Ann Tyson, Tad Eugene Tyson (Jessica), Kevin Ryan Sanderson, Travis Eugene Tyson, all of Laurel Hill; parents, Marshall and Carlisa Tyson of Laurel Hill; three loving sisters, Marsha Lenora Tyson Chavis (Chris) of Laurinburg, Ginger Tyson Davis (Allen) of Christiansburg, VA; Carolyn Diane Tyson (Spencer) of Wagram; ten grandchildren, along with a host of loving uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Memorial donations may be given to East Laurinburg Baptist Church, 56  5th Street, Laurinburg, NC 28352.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 19, 2021 in the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel, officiated by Rev. Richard Tyson. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Park. Viewing will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 18, 2021 at Richard Boles Funeral Service. COVID restrictions require facial masks with social distancing for all services.
