Margaret "LuLu" Louise Butler Sessoms

Margaret “LuLu” Louise Butler Sessoms, born January 10, 1958, passed away peacefully at the age of 67 on August 23, 2025.

LuLu as she was affectionately known loved taking care of others, which led to a fulfilling career as a Certified Nursing Assistant with the Cape Fear Medical Center and former owner of Lou Lou Toddlers House for many years. She was an avid Atlanta Braves Baseball fan, enjoyed listening to music, and loved good conversation. Her greatest joy came from time spent with family and the memories they shared. LuLu was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend who will be dearly missed.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Ruth Butler; brother, Richard Duvall Butler; and sister, Wanda Gail Roller.

She leaves behind her loving husband, Mike Sessoms of the home; sons, Shane Sessoms (Delia Knight) of Rockingham and Scott Sessoms (Tiffany Pate) of Florence, SC; daughter, April Sessoms of Bennettsville, SC; father, Reese Butler of Laurel Hill; brothers, Gary Butler of Marion, SC, James Butler of Florence, SC; and was a devoted grandmother of Madelyn, Cassie, Kamerin, and Ethan.

The memorial service to celebrate her life will be held 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening, August 27, 2025 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel. Visitation with the family will follow the service at the funeral home.
