Lydia Ann Hanak

Lydia Ann Hanak was born in Gary West Virginia on July 16, 1941 to her father Edward Joseph Burress and mother Clara Lou Burress. After living in New Mexico and Florida Lydia spent her remaining life in North Carolina. Lydia is survived by her husband Horst Hanak, son Anthony Lee Burgin, wife Natalie and their son James living at Wake Forest, NC, and son Derek Paul Hanak living in Williamsburg, Virginia.

Lydia was an outgoing person who enjoyed life. She had many friends. She attended First Baptist Church in Laurinburg. She was a loving person who cared for all, especially animals.

Instead of flowers, the family request that Memorials may be made to the Scotland County Humane Society at 1401 West Blvd. Laurinburg, NC 28352, the First Baptist Church of Laurinburg, 302 East Church Street Laurinburg, NC 28352, or Hospice of Scotland County 610 Lauchwood Drive Laurinburg, NC 28352.

A private graveside service will be held at Bethesda Cemetery in Aberdeen, NC.
