Lucy Mae Hunt

Lucy Mae Hunt was born May 16, 1936 and departed this life to be joined with her Savior on Friday, September 25, 2020.

She was born in Rowland, North Carolina to the late Carl and Lizzie Hunt.  After retiring from Abbott Laboratories, she cherished her time caring for children of  family and friends.  She loved the Lord and served as a faithful member of Northview Harvest Ministries, visiting the sick and shut-in. 

Mrs. Lucy was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Charles Hunt; her son, Kevin Charles Hunt and granddaughter, Desiree Lockey; in addition to her brothers, Carl Hunt, Jr., Dover Hunt and G. Hunt; sisters, Minnie Oxendine, Versie Hunt, Ossie Harris, Katie Houdyshell and Cecile Grimes.

Lucy leaves to cherish her memory her children, Jeffery Hunt (Diane) of Pennsylvania, Jennifer Lockey (Dean) of Laurel Hill, Denise Locklear (Earl) of Wagram, Darryl Hunt (Cathy) of Laurinburg, Christopher Hunt (Claire) of Georgia; and daughter-in-law, Jackie Hunt; her sisters, Sharmayne Locklear, Elaine Hunt, and Patricia Haywood; fifteen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, one great-great grandchildren along with a host of loving family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, September 28, 2020 at Northview Harvest Ministries officiated by Pastor Kenneth Blease and Pastor Faye Coates.  Burial will follow the service in Hillside Memorial Park.   The family will receive friends prior to services from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. at North View Harvest Ministries.
