Lucy Ann (Locklear) Beauchamp

Lucy Ann Locklear Beauchamp, age 76 of Laurel Hill passed away to her Heavenly home on October 1, 2021.

Lucy was born July 24, 1945 in Scotland County, daughter of the late Wade Locklear and Bertha Jeffery Locklear. She was wife of 48 years to the late Floyd Eugene Beauchamp. Lucy worked many years for Service Thread Manufacturing and was a member of Gibson Friendship Mission Holiness Church. When time allowed, she enjoyed traveling throughout the country. Family was her greatest joy, especially times spent with grandchildren.

Along with her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Tammy Beauchamp Johnson; sisters, Sally Mae English, Shirley Desman, and Judy Smith.

Lucy leaves behind her son, Sean Beauchamp (April); daughter, Shirley Epps (Lacy), all of Laurel Hill; sisters, Joyce Locklear of Laurinburg, Valerie Caton of Laurel Hill, Patricia Small of Gibson; grandchildren, Josh Epps, Amber S. Lesley, Taylor Johnson, Michael Johnson, six great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and many friends.

A Graveside service will be at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, October 7, 2021 in White’s Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Wallace, SC. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at graveside.

Due to the current pandemic status, COVID-19 restrictions require facial masks, social distancing, and limited attendance for all services.
