Lucille Flowers Quick of Laurinburg departed this life for her Heavenly home at the age of 93 on June 4, 2025.
She was the loving daughter of the late Harry and Maybelle Shaw Flowers born May 4, 1932 in Dillon, SC, growing up in McColl, SC. Along with being a wonderful mother and homemaker, Lucille had a long career at Scotland County Courthouse for over thirty-five years, beginning in the Register of Deeds Office, then moved to the Scotland County Tax Office, followed by twenty-five years in the Clerk of Court Office. Lucille also served as a faithful member of New Hope Baptist Church.
For many years, she enjoyed her time as a member of the Laurinburg Pilot Club, loved playing Bridge with her friends, and spending time at the beach. Lucille's greatest joy centered around her family and loved their time shared together. She will deeply be missed by each of her loved ones.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by sister, Ruby Nell McEachin.
She is survived by her children, son, Norman Quick (Carol) of Greenville; daughter, Debbie Quick (Johnny) of Laurinburg; grandchildren, Amy Davis (Michael), Wesley Quick (Mary), Matthew Quick (Sarah), Megan Quick (Will); great-grandchildren, Jake Davis, Ella Kate Quick, Sarah Quick; and special caretaker who was loved like family, Pam Armstrong; along with her loving extended family and friends.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Scottish Pines Rehabilitation and Nursing Center along with Scotland Regional Hospice for their loving care.
Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, June 9, 2025 at New Hope Baptist Church with burial following in Rogers Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to services on Monday beginning 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the church.
