Lt. Col. William "Bill" Hart

Lt. Col. William "Bill" Hart, Ret. US Army, age 70 of Laurinburg, NC departed this life on Wednesday, February 7, 2024. 

He was the loving son of the late Walter William Hart and the late Margaret Potter Hart, born on September 6, 1953, in Livingston, Montana. Bill had a distinguished military career proudly serving our country with over 42 years of dedicated service.  He began his military service in the United States Marine Corps following in the North Carolina National Guard where he served with the United States Army during his many deployments.  He was proudly awarded numerous medals for is accomplishments, bravery and service.  Following retirement, Bill then furthered his working career as owner and operator of a successful business, Hart to Hart Electrical and HVAC.  

He was a faithful member of Central Church and the Masonic Lodge #305. Loved his work, enjoyed history, playing golf, and truly strived to help others. Bill will be greatly missed and remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and devoted friend.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by grandson, Seth Pittman.

Left to cherish his memory is his adored wife, Brinda Reese Hart of their home; son, Paul Green and wife, Tina of Paris, TX; daughter, Rosemary “Sissy” Pittman and husband, Charlie Pittman of Laurinburg; brother, Bruce Hart and wife, Birdie of Boston, MA; grandchildren, Rhiannon Greguire and husband, Josh Greguire, Kaleb Green, Kody Green, Chuck Pittman, Chase Pittman and wife, Julie; great-grandchildren, Colton Greguire, Cora Greguire, Jarrod Pittman, Addison Pittman, Delany Pittman, and Adrian Pittman; special nephew, Bobby Hatchell; along with many loving extended family and friends.

Funeral services celebrating his life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel officiated by Rev. Bobby Dean. Burial with military honors will follow the service in Hillside Memorial Park.  A time of visitation will be prior to the services on Saturday beginning at 1:00 pm. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
