Louise Cole Ellis, age 91 of Wagram departed this life for her Heavenly home on Thursday, December 13, 2018.
Born April 18, 1927, a loving daughter of the late Barney “Son” Cole and Julie Hatcher Cole and the devoted wife to the late John Willie Ellis, Jr. She was a homemaker and retired after many years of service from Abbott Laboratories. Louise loved the Lord and was an active and faithful member of the Wagram Church of God where she enjoyed serving in the Visiting Committee, Ladies Ministries and singing in the choir. She will forever be cherished as a wonderful Christian mother, grandmother and sister.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by a grandson, Christopher Scott Reese; brothers, Barney “Karo” Cole, Jr., John Lindsey Cole and sister, Kathleen Campbell.
She is survived by her daughters, Ann Ellis Smith of Laurinburg, Rebecca Joyce Fields of Wilmington and Kim Ellis Clark (Deon) of Wagram; brother, Thomas Cole (Sally) of Bolivia; sister-in-law, Vickie Cole of Rocky Mount; five grandchildren, Jimmie Channing Smith, Jr., (Kelley), Misty Ann Chavis (Heath), Jason Michael Thompson, Stephanie Michelle Spivey (Dylan), Jimmy "Jay" Reese, Jr., (Nichole); twelve great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews; her church family and a host of loving friends.
Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, December 16, 2018 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel with burial following in Hillside Memorial Park. Services will be officiated by Rev. Rick Brewer, Rev. Harry Clark and Rev. Jerry Springs. Visitation for family and friends will be from 1:30 until 3:00 p.m. prior to the service on Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorial donations are requested to be given in Mrs. Ellis’s memory to the Wagram Church of God, P.O. Box 491, Wagram, NC 28396.
