Lisa Dial Crabtree was born November 16, 1965 in Robeson County, the loving daughter of Dora Dial Scott and the late Roosevelt Chavis. Lisa’s career led her into home health as a caregiver for others. Family was the most important thing in Lisa’s life. She loved to be surrounded by them. Her greatest gift was her nieces and nephews and she always made sure each of them got some of what they wanted. Lisa loved her brothers and sisters unconditionally. Her biggest fears about leaving this old world were leaving them behind, especially mom and who would take care of her. Crystal Lynn was her sidekick and they were two peas in a pod who were always getting into something. There was never a dull moment when they got together. Lisa will always be remembered as a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who will truly be missed. She passed away at the age of 56 on June 11, 2022.
Along with her father, she is preceded in death by son, Steve Wayne Dial; daughter, Doren Michelle Hunt; brothers, Bobby Knight, Curtis Chavis, Andrew Chavis, Melvin Chavis; sister, Linda Carol Williams; sister-in-law, Ann Locklear.
