We are deeply sorry for your loss - the staff at Richard Boles Funeral Services
Lisa Dial Crabtree was born November 16, 1965 in Robeson County, the loving daughter of Dora Dial Scott and the late Roosevelt Chavis. Lisa’s career led her into home health as a caregiver for others. Family was the most important thing in Lisa’s life. She loved to be surrounded by them. Her greatest gift was her nieces and nephews and she always made sure each of them got some of what they wanted. Lisa loved her brothers and sisters unconditionally. Her biggest fears about leaving this old world were leaving them behind, especially mom and who would take care of her. Crystal Lynn was her sidekick and they were two peas in a pod who were always getting into something. There was never a dull moment when they got together. Lisa will always be remembered as a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who will truly be missed. She passed away at the age of 56 on June 11, 2022.
Along with her father, she is preceded in death by son, Steve Wayne Dial; daughter, Doren Michelle Hunt; brothers, Bobby Knight, Curtis Chavis, Andrew Chavis, Melvin Chavis; sister, Linda Carol Williams; sister-in-law, Ann Locklear.
Lisa leaves behind her son, Christopher Crabtree of McColl, SC; mother, Dora Dial Scott of Maxton; brothers, Donald Locklear, Jr. of Laurinburg, Bobby Dial (Jan), Jimmy Dean Dial, Roosevelt Chavis, Jr., Jerry Chavis, Terry Chavis, all of Maxton; sisters, Vickie Dial (Richard) of Pembroke, Teresa Bowens, Mona Chavis, Cynthia Chavis, all of Maxton; seven grandchildren; a special sister-in-law she loved like a sister, Jan Dial; a nephew whom she thought of as a son, Robert Dial; special friends, Ronnie Clark and Cameron Locklear, along with a host of loving nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Friday, June 17, 2022 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel. Burial will follow in Sandhills Baptist Church Cemetery in Wagram. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 16, 2022 at the funeral home.
A special thank you to her caregivers and nurses for all the wonderful care given to her during her recent illness. And a thank you to her nephew, Robert Dial for the Mother's Day card that overwhelmed her with joy.
