Lindsay Godwin, age 85 of Marston, North Carolina departed this life on Monday, June 23, 2025.
He was the adored son of the late Thomas Godwin and Kathleen Watson Lucas, born June 15, 1940 in Scotland County. Lindsay proudly served as a member of the United States Army. He worked as a Maintenance Technician for Telerent Leasing Corporation for many devoted years until retiring. Lindsay was a people person who loved talking with others and going to the flea market. His greatest enjoyment came from time spent with his family and the many memories they shared. Lindsay will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by brother, Harold Godwin.
Left to rejoice in his memory is adored wife, Elizabeth “Deana” M. Godwin of the home: sons, Lindsay “Lynn” Charles Godwin (Renee) of Mamers, Anthony “Tony” Lynn Godwin (Shannon) of Pittsboro; brothers, Leo Watson of Missouri, Richard Godwin (JoAnn) of Michigan, Thomas Godwin (Hariette) of Marston, Jimmy Godwin of Laurinburg; sisters, Geraldine Meisman (Gary) of Laurinburg, Faye Gordon (Dave) of Rocky Mount; grandchildren, Wyatt Godwin, Colton Godwin, Joshua Godwin, Christina Gregory (Terry); and great-grandchildren, Harper Godwin, Logan Godwin, Damien Gregory, and Trenton Gregory; along with a host of loving niece, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 26, 2025 at Springfield Church of God.
