Linda Ann (Lopez) Watson

Linda Ann Lopez Watson, age 75 of Laurinburg departed this life Friday, February 21, 2020 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel, officiated by Pastor Jonathan Terry. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Park.

Linda was born April 14, 1944 in New Bern, North Carolina, daughter of the late Leo Lopez and Thelma Rhue. She retired after 30 years with Bellsouth Telephone Company and worked many years for Nic’s Pic Kwik. She attended Precious Life Ministry and enjoyed gospel singings. She had a great love for Elvis Presley and lighthouses. Listening to country music and doing crossword puzzles were some of her favorite pastimes. Linda had a huge heart for everyone, especially for her family and friends.

She is survived by her daughters, Hattie Lynn Deaver (Brian) of Benson, and Vicki Watson Locklear (Jamie) of Laurinburg; sister, Darlene Rhue Stewart (Randy) of Laurinburg; grandchildren, Shelly Terry (Josh), Kelly Lowery (Brandon), Garrett Young, Brandon Beckwith, Nora Locklear, Alexis Locklear, Lauren Locklear, four great grandchildren, along with a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at Richard Boles Funeral Service.
