Linda Lou (Jackson) Moody

Linda Lou Jackson Moody of Maxton, NC departed this life at the age of 78 on September 14, 2023.

She was the adored daughter of the late Martha Jackson Chavis, born on September 16, 1944 in Laurinburg, NC. Linda retired after many dedicated years of service with Harris Teeter Supermarket then continuing her career in customer service with Food Lion and Belk. She cherished her time at the First Baptist Church of Maxton, where she enjoyed participating in their church activities. Linda enjoyed working crossword puzzles, shopping, and going to yard sales. Her greatest joy came from time spent with her family and the memories they shared. Linda was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be greatly missed.

Along with her mother, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, Robert “Bobby” Ray Moody and their infant daughter.

Left to rejoice in her memory is her son, Michael Moody and wife, Susan of Maxton; brother, Curtis Jackson of Piedmont, OK; and her adored grandchildren, Cody Moody and Colin Moody.  She is also survived by her nieces, nephews, extended family and loving friends.

The memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel.    The family will receive friends prior to the service on Tuesday from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
