Lew Edward Wagner of Laurel Hill adored husband, father, grandfather, brother, and devoted friend passed away at the age of 72 on Monday, August 5, 2024.
He was the loving son of the late Paul Kimble Wagner and the late Helen Elizabeth English Wagner, born February 15, 1952 in Scotland County, NC. Lew worked as a shipping and receiving manager for many years with the Dillon Supply Company until his retirement. He loved the Lord and faithfully served as a member of Lighthouse Nation Church. Lew was an avid sports fan especially for the UNC Tar Heels and New York Yankees. He truly enjoyed his time coaching in the Scotland County Parks and Recreation League and being part of the Scotland High Football “Chain Gang”. Lew loved his family and friends deeply and treasured time shared with each of them, especially his grandchildren.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by grandson, Adyson Carter Webster; brothers, Terry Lee Wagner, and Henry Thomas “Bloss” Gilley.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife, Lisa Milligan Wagner of the home; sons, Lew “Lukie” Wagner (Stacey) of Raleigh, Michael Wagner of Maxton, Christopher Jacobs (Kylee) of Laurel Hill; daughters, Paula Wagner of Maxton, Dollie Webster (Michael) of McColl, SC, Nickey Milligan (Matt) of Rowland; brothers, Jerry Ray Wagner and Paul “Pee Wee” Wagner both of Laurinburg; his eighteen adored grandchildren; a precious great-grandson expected very soon; along with many loving extended family and friends.
Memorial donations are requested to be given to the Laurel Hill Volunteer Fire Department, 9400 Pate Street, Laurel Hill, NC 28351.
Funeral services are planned for 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel with burial following in Hillside Memorial Park.
Visitation with the family will be from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. on Friday, August 9th at Richard Boles Funeral Service.
