Obituary

Kristen Marie Grooms Packer was born January 10, 1981 in Stoughton, Massachusetts, daughter of Boyce Grooms and Sue Caulder Grooms. Kristen was a dedicated homemaker who loved being a stay home mom along with caring for her K-9 buddies. She also enjoyed cooking, working in the yard, gardening, and in quiet times, she loved to read. Kristen most loved spending time with her family and will truly be missed. She passed away at the age of 41 on April 3, 2022.

Kristen leaves behind her son, Jason “J.J.” Packer, Jr. of Lakeview, SC; daughter, Hannah Packer of Gibson, and their father, Jason Packer, Sr. of Lakeview, SC; parents, Sue Grooms of Wagram and Boyce Grooms of Laurinburg; brothers, Michael Grooms of Fayetteville, Garrett Grooms of Wagram; half-brother and sisters, Becky Caulder Deaton, Boyce Grooms, Jr., and Ramona Hutchinson, along with her nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 11, 2022 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel with burial following in Springhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Monday from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
