Kenneth “Ryan” Watts, Sr., age 51 of Wagram passed away Thursday, April 29, 2021.
Ryan was born August 29, 1969 in Scotland County, son of Mary “Elaine” Hinson and the late Hubert Franklin Watts. He worked many years as an electrician and plumber for Almighty Electric Company. He was very talented as an artist in drawing, writing songs, and singing. In his leisure time, he also enjoyed fishing. Ryan had a big heart for helping others and will be remembered as a loving son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.
Along with his father, he is preceded in death by his son, Eric Watts and step-father, John "David" Hinson.
Ryan is survived by his mother, Mary “Elaine” Hinson of Wagram; sons, Kenneth Ryan Watts, Jr. of Laurinburg, Matthew Smith of Wagram; daughters, Ashleigh Gibson, Brittany Watts (Leo Bazen), all of Laurinburg; stepsons, Matthew Aldridge, Christopher Goins, both of Maxton; brothers, Tony Tew (Jessica) of Wagram, David Watts (Dee Dee Carol) of Laurel Hill, Johnny Tew, Jr. of Vass, Wesley Watts of Oklahoma; sisters, Donna Tew of Wagram, Hope Watts of California, Kimberly Tew of Laurinburg; step-father, Johnny Tew, Sr.; thirteen grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, May 2, 2021 in the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel, officiated by Rev. Richard Tyson. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Sunday from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
