Kenneth Harold Johnson

Kenneth Harold Johnson, age 67 of Hamlet passed away Monday, January 3, 2020.

Kenneth was born January 8, 1953, a son of the late Hughie Clyde Johnson and Edna Sheperd Johnson. He worked many years for J.P. Stevens and was a member of New Beginnings Christian Ministry in Hamlet. Kenneth enjoyed hunting, fishing and was artistic in wood working, painting and drawing.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Gary “Mitchell” Johnson.

Kenneth leaves behind his children, Kenneth “Heath” Johnson of Rockingham and Cassidy Odom of Hamlet; step children, Haywood “Dave” Carpenter (Angela), and Stacy Lynn Lyon (Richard) both of Rockingham; his brother, “Jerry” Wayne Johnson of Laurel Hill; mother of his children, Maragarie Johnson; four grandchildren, three great grandchildren, along with his nieces, nephews and many friends.

Memorial services will be 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 6, 2020 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel.     Visitation will immediately follow the service at the funeral home.   A private interment will be at a later date
