Kenneth Lawrence Grubbs

Kenneth Lawrence Grubbs of Laurinburg passed away at the age of 81 on April 3, 2026.

He was born June 21, 1944 in Wilmington, NC, son of the late James Wilbur “Pete” Grubbs and Nellie Carmichael Grubbs.  He proudly served our nation in the United States Army.   He enjoyed a long career as an Industrial Engineer working many years with the John Manville Corporation until retirement.    Kenny enjoyed his time golfing, gardening, admiring classic cars and loved to be on the dance floor shagging.   He loved his family and truly cherished their time shared together.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Victor Luther Grubbs, and James Wilbur “Jimmy” Grubbs, Jr.

He is survived by his sisters, Joy Marie Grubbs Blalock (Ronnie), Gloria Grubbs McArthur (Randy), and several nieces and nephews.

The Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 9, 2026 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel.   The family will have a time of visitation prior to the service beginning at 4:30 until 5:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
