Kenndal Blake McElrath

Kenndal Blake McElrath of Laurel Hill, NC, passed away at the age of 36 in the early morning of July 11, 2025. 

He was born February 6, 1989 in Asheville, NC, son of Kenneth McElrath and Amy Stainback Perkins.   He enjoyed his work in the food service industry with Hardees, Popeyes and also enjoyed his off-time cooking for family.   He loved anything about bicycles, whether riding or repairing them. He was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and video gamer.   He enjoyed doing artwork, working out, and cherished time shared with family.

Kenndal is survived by his only child, Louie Ahmad “Chloe” Talley of the home; parents, Amy and Steven Perkins of Laurel Hill, NC, Kenneth and Donna McElrath of Marion, NC; sisters, Alizabeth Perkins and Amelia Perkins Algharaghir; adored niece, Alvia Perkins; in addition to a host of extended family and friends.

The family is planning a memorial service to be announced at a later date.
