Kelly (Hedgpeth) Stubbs

Kelly Hedgpeth Stubbs, age 50 of Laurinburg passed away October 12, 2020.

Kelly was born September 9, 1970 in Mecklenburg County, daughter of Jimmy Floyd Hedgpeth and the late Ramona Kelly Hedgpeth. She worked many years as a hairdresser. Kelly was known for “doing things her way”.  She loved going to the beach spending time in the sand, as well as traveling, knitting, and watching soap operas, especially The Young and the Restless.

Kelly is survived by her sons, Chase Stubbs (Alysia) of Spring Lake, Jackson “Jack” Stubbs (Julie) of Laurinburg, step-son, Gary Drennan of Rockingham; daughter, Emily Millikin (William) of Laurinburg; father, Jim Hedgpeth, Sr. of Laurinburg; brother, Jim Hedgpeth, Jr. (Deedra) of Southern Pines; nephew, Corbin Masaitis; grandchildren, Ilana Stubbs and Aubree Mahar; her K-9 companion, Penny, along with her extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Friday, October 16, 2020 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel, officiated by Rev. Richard Tyson. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Friday from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

COVID-19 mandate requires facial masks or coverings and limited attendance for all services.
