Karen Renee Ruiz

Karen Renee Locklear Ruiz, age 50 of Hamlet passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2019.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 27, 2019 at the Grace Chapel Holiness Church with burial following in the church cemetery.

Karen was born February 3, 1969 in Scotland County, a loving daughter of Peggy Mae Randleman Locklear and the late Robert Lee Locklear.  She dedicated her life to the love and care of her family as a homemaker.  She served as a faithful member of the Grace Chapel Holiness Church.  With her family, Karen enjoyed fishing, camping, traveling and cooking.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister who will forever be missed.

Karen is survived by her husband, Gerald W. Ruiz of the home and daughter, Carrie Ruiz Bryant and her husband Jonathan of Hamlet; mother, Peggy Mae Locklear of Gibson; sister, Pam Wilkins and husband Darrell of Gibson; granddaughters, Maylee Renee Bryant, Adalyn Leanne Bryant and special niece, Pastor Amy Wilkins.

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 26, 2019 at Grace Chapel Holiness Church, 2035 E. US Hwy 74, Hamlet, NC.

The family requests for memorial donations to be given for the family in care of Grace Chapel Holiness Church.
