Joyce Ann Tyner Hardee

Joyce Ann Tyner Hardee of Laurinburg was born June 29, 1936, to the late William (Bill) and Susie Paul Tyner. She worked at McGraw Edison (Ingram) for 25 years. Before retiring she worked at Charles Craft for 10 years. She was a member of North Laurinburg Baptist Church. Prior to her illness she enjoyed camping, traveling and baking. She passed away on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at the age of 89.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her son Wesley Barber, her brother Jerry (Bud) Tyner, her sisters Helene Yeghoian, Edna Hahn and Pat Chott.

She is survived by her husband Jesse Hardee of the home, daughter Cathy Barber Kerr of Holden Beach, step-sons Jesse (JJ) Hardee Jr. (Teresa) of Hamlet, Keith Hardee (Sharon) of Laurel Hill, step-daughter Mincie Maynor (Mark) of Rockingham, grandsons Bill Vann (Delta) of Holden Beach, Eric Kerr (Beth) of Holden Beach, Bryan Kerr (Robin) of Wilmington, step-grandchildren Jessica Dunn Cassidy (Kevin) of Rockingham, Ben Forbis of Rockingham, Misty Crouch (Sam) of Rockingham, Bryan Lee of Aberdeen, Jesse (T J) Hardee Ill of Hamlet, Katlin Chavis of Hamlet, 18 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and a host of other family & friends.

In lieu of flowers the family ask that memorial donations go to Scotland Regional Hospice at PO Box 1033, Laurinburg, NC 28352.

Memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel. 

A time of visitation will be held prior to the service on Thursday beginning 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
