Joshua Tyler McKenzie

Joshua Tyler McKenzie of Myrtle Beach, SC, formerly of Laurinburg, NC passed away at the age of 30 on October 20, 2023.

Joshua is the son of Deana Nicol Brigman and Allen Dean McKenzie born May 31, 1993 in Scotland County, NC.  He studies at Richmond Community College earning his Electrical Technician Certificate. Josh was a hard-working man and enjoyed his work in Security with the Global Security Corporation.  He loved sports, playing baseball, bowling with his children and was an avid Dallas Cowboy Football fan.   He also enjoyed fishing and camping with family and friends. Above all, Josh loved his family and cherished time shared with each of them. 

He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Albert Willie McKenzie and James Brigman.

Josh leaves his fiancé, Destiny Paige Lewis and their children, Braxton McKenzie and Braylee McKenzie of the home; his parents, Deana Nicol Brigman and Allen Dean McKenzie both of Laurinburg; brothers, Christian McKenzie, Gavon Brigman, Allen Michael Mintz; grandmothers, Margaret Brigman and Brenda McKenzie; special nephew, Cayden McKenzie; along with his loving aunts, uncles, many cousins, and a host of extended family and many friends.

The memorial service celebrating Josh’s life will be held 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel.  The family will have a time of visitation following the service at the funeral home.
