Joseph “Joe” Coney Driggers, age 70 of Laurinburg passed away on October 12, 2024.
Joe was a son of the late Coney and Ruth Driggers born August 29, 1954 in Bennettsville, South Carolina. He had a long career with the Campbell Soup Company retiring after 33 years of service. He faithfully served as a member of the Laurinburg Christian Church. If you had the pleasure of knowing Joe, you knew his favorite place to be was in the deer stand. He loved hunting, fishing, along with watching NASCAR racing. Many knew him as Santa Clause, as he loved being Santa’s helper for the children at Treasure City. Joe loved his family and cherished time shared with each of them.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Vanessa Faye English Driggers; and sister, Linda Walters.
Joe is survived by his son, Jesse Hardee, Jr., and wife, Teresa of Hamlet; daughter, Mincie Maynor and husband, Mark Maynor; brother, David Driggers and wife, Joy Driggers; sister-in-law, Tiffany Marsh and husband, Kirk Marsh; grandchildren, Misty Crouch, Bryan Lee, TJ Hardee, Jessica Cassidy, Ben Forbis; nephews, Ronald Driggers and wife, Courney Driggers, and Josh Marsh. He also leaves behind his extended family, many devoted friends and hunting buddies.
The celebration of life memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. on October 25, 2024 at the Laurinburg Christian Church with a time of visitation following.
