Jordan "Chyanne" Chavis

Jordan Chyanne Chavis known to many as “Chy” departed from this life on June 2, 2024.

 Jordan was born May 29, 1998 in Scotland County, NC, daughter of Tammy Chavis and Jackie Giddens. Jordan loved to spend time with her children and make memories of a lifetime. She was such an artist. She loved to draw in her free time. Jordan could light up any room she was in with that beautiful smile of hers. She was the life of the party. Before leaving, she would always make sure to let you know that she loved you. If only we could hear her say that just one more time. Even though she had her moments, she had the biggest heart for others.

She preceded in death by her stepdad, Randy Dewand grandfathers, Earl Chavis and Pappa Hicks, grandmother JoAnn T. Chavis.

 She leaves behind her daughters, Kataleya Reign Hannan and Ivory Storm Hannan of Pembroke, NC; her son, Braylon Nakota Chavis of Pembroke, NC; sisters, Joanna (Jeremy) Oxendine of Dillon, SC, Alexis (Jordan)Cummings of Laurel Hill, NC, Jessica Locklear of SC; brothers are Cain of Laurinburg, NC, Randall Locklear of Pembroke, NC, and Brandon Locklear of Colorado, Diane (Marty) Locklear of John Station, NC, known as Aunt D. Also biological father William Dean. A special friend of the family, Ashley (Roger) Kurfurst of Pembroke, NC.She left behind so many of her nieces, nephews, and cousins that loved her dearly. To know Chy was to love her. She will be missed by her family and friends.

Funeral services to celebrate Chy will be held 4:00 p.m. on Friday, June 7, 2024 at Shady Grove Baptist Church with burial following in the Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.    

Visitation will be prior to the service on Friday beginning at 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the church.
