Jonathan Ray Butler, loving father, son, brother, uncle, and friend, departed this life at the age of 39 on November 22, 2025.
He was the son of LuWayne Coble Butler and Gary Butler, born March 9, 1986 in Scotland County, NC. Jonathan was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps, proudly serving his country during Operation Enduring Freedom. He worked in the construction industry as a carpenter for many years. Jonathan enjoyed singing, camping trips, and was an avid sports enthusiast. Above all, he cherished time spent with his children, whom he dearly loved. Jonathan will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Left to rejoice in his memory are children, Jaxon Butler and Madyson Butler; mother of his children, Miranda Butler; his mother, LuWayne Butler of Laurinburg; father, Gary Butler (Terri) of Marion, SC; his brother, Brandon Paul Butler (Mercedes) of Cameron; step sister, Taylor Butler; grandfather, Reese Butler; nephew and nieces, Waylon, Caroline, and Annabelle; along with a host of loving aunts, uncles, extended family, and many friends.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 28, 2025 at Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel. Burial with military honors will follow in Hillside Memorial Park.
A time of visitation will be held prior to the service on Friday beginning 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
