Johnny Jacobs was born March 29, 1941 in Pembroke, NC and entered into eternity on April 24, 2025 at the age of 84.
He is preceded in death by his mother Lizzie Jacobs, his maternal grandparents Fannie Brooks and Owen Jacobs, and brother Darland “George” Jacobs and a special niece Tammie Locklear.
He is survived by his daughters Jeanette Strickland of Lumberton, Lizzie Jacobs of Greensboro, Son Terry Wayne Harmon of Pembroke, Granddaughter Michele Callazo and husband Angel, Grandson Christopher Strickland, His sisters, Delois Jacobs Chavis (Laurinburg), Shirley Ray Chavis (Pembroke), Joyce Faggins (New Jersey), Jean Carol Lemonds (Larry) of (Reidsville), Ernestine “Tina” Allred of (Julian) and his dear friend Horace Pate.
Additionally, he leaves behind numerous special grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and a large circle of friends and family whom he held dear to his heart.
Johnny was a quiet, humble man with a heart full of kindness. As a dedicated roofer, he took pride in his work, always using his hands to craft with care. Outside of work, he found joy in gardening and tending to his plants. He was a fan of NASCAR and loved watching westerns, savoring the comforts of home-cooked meals, and sharing his famous banana pudding at special gatherings. Above all, Johnny cherished his friends, family, and his faith in the Lord. He will be dearly missed!
