John Dennis Leazer

John Dennis Leazer was born January 27, 1945 son of the late Jessie and Margaret Sweat Leazer of Scotland County, NC.  He was a devoted family man who worked many years in manufacturing with the Armstrong Rubber Company and Kordsa, Inc., until his retirement.  He enjoyed mechanics with small engine repair and working in his yard. He also served as a faithful member of the East Laurinburg Church of God.   John strived to help others in need and would give the shirt off his back if needed.  He loved the outdoors, if the sun was shining, he wanted to be in it.  On June 14, 2024, at the age of 79, John passed away to his Heavenly home. A loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend whose memory will truly be cherished.

Along with his parents, preceding him in death are grandson, Zachary Hugh McRae; brother, Lloyd Leazer and sister, Pearl Dial.

John leaves behind his loving wife, Stella Dunn Leazer of their home; son, Mitchael Wayne Leazer (Susan Elaine Davis) of Cary; and his daughter, Wendy Valerie Leazer McRae of Laurinburg; brothers, Jessie Leazer, Jr., of Tennessee, and sister, Levon Williams of McColl, SC.  He loved his grandchildren, Jonathan Dean Gibson, Nicholas Ryan Leazer, Andrew Philip McRae (Kimberly), Shannon Faith Sessions (Sam), Elizabeth Margaret Morgan McRae; and his great grandchildren, Emeline Rene Leazer, Colton James Loveland, Carson Alexander Leazer, Karson Andrew McRae, Olivia Rose McRae, Karlee Skye Sessions, Alaina Rae Sessions, Owen McRae, along with his nieces, nephews and extended family.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel with burial following in Pinecrest Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to services on Wednesday from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
