Joe Edward Davis

Joe Edward Davis, age 61 of Laurinburg passed away to his Heavenly home Saturday, September 8, 2018.

Funeral services will be at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at Oak Grove Baptist Church officiated by Rev. John Walker. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery,

Joe was born March 14, 1957 in Scotland County, a son of the late Polly Ann Davis. He was the devoted husband of the late Diana Scott Davis. He worked for many years in the textile industry with West Point Stevens. He was a faithful member of Beyond the Veil Assembly of God where he enjoyed serving the Lord and carrying others to church to hear God’s Word.  He also loved to visit the sick and enjoyed cutting grass. He will always be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend who will truly be missed.

Along with his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by his brother, Edward Davis and sister, Mary Davis Rainwater.

Joe leaves behind his son, James Clark of Fayetteville; daughters, Qiana “Shea” Manley (Claud) of Laurinburg, Brandy Lewis of Laurel Hill; brother, Richard Davis of Pembroke; five grandchildren, three great grandchildren and a host of loving nieces, nephews and many friends.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at Richard Boles Funeral Service.
