Jimmy Ray Jacobs, age 66 of Maxton passed away Monday, May 4, 2020.
Jimmy was born April 24, 1954 in Scotland County, a son of the late Huley Jacobs and Lizzie Locklear Jacobs. He worked many years in the construction business. He enjoyed fishing, farming and loved all animals including his horses and sheep. Jimmy enjoyed life day by day and having a good time with his family and friends brought him great joy.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, James Jacobs; sisters, Betty Harrison, Brenda Reed, Louise Smith and brother-in-law, Troy Young.
He is survived by his daughter, Sherry Jacobs (Jason) of Biscoe; his companion,Regina Locklear; brothers, Hubert Jacobs of Gibson, Molbert Jacobs (Brenda) of Maxton; sisters, Pauline Young of Ohio, and Linda Chappell (James) of Gibson; grandchildren, Kelsey Ray Lee, Madelyn Sheppard, Carley Sheppard, Anthony Jacobs and a host of many nieces, nephews, including special nephew, Jamie Chappell and friends.
A Private Service for family will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 8, 2020 at Gibson Pentecostal Holiness Church, officiated by Rev. Frankie Rogers. Burial will follow in Locklear Family Cemetery. A time of viewing will be on Friday from 1:00 until 2:00 at the church.
