Jimmie James Clark was born May 23, 1960 in Scotland County to the late Jessie James Clark and Nellie Locklear Clark. He worked at Waverly Mills and in Fort Bragg painting. He enjoyed his family, his roosters, painting, and Go Kart racing. He also enjoyed fishing. His favorite thing to do was fight his chickens. Jimmie passed away February 1, 2025 surrounded by his family.
He is survived by his sons, Jimmy Joe Ratley and Michael John Ratley of Laurinburg; grandchildren, James Tyndall, Courtney Clark, Cody Clark; five great-grandchildren, Nevaeh Ferguson, Caiden Ferguson, Jaci Smith, Alayah Tyndall, Haisley Clark; brothers, Delton Ray Clark (Freida Clark) of Laurinburg, Jessie Lee Clark (Sibyl Oxendine) of Pembroke; and a host of nieces, nephews, and lifelong friend, Wade Chavis.
Also preceded in death by parents listed above; his wife, Lenora Smith Clark; brother, James Allen Clark; sister, Mary Smiling; and grandson, Cameron Clark.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel with burial following in the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to services on Wednesday beginning at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
