Jerry Ray Wagner, age 71 of Laurinburg, NC passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2026.
He was born in Scotland County on November 19, 1954, loving son of the late Paul and Helen English Wagner. Jerry retired after many devoted years from J.P. Stevens working as an overhaul mechanic. He enjoyed going fishing, working in his yard, and was a gifted woodworker. Jerry also enjoyed listening to the scanner and helping others while working with the wrecker service. He took great joy in creating memories and spending time with his family. Jerry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend who will be dearly missed.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by twin brother, Terry Lee Wagner and brothers, Henry Thomas “Bloss” Gilley and Lew E. Wagner.
Left to rejoice in his memory is his adored wife, Melissa Ann Drew Wagner of the home; daughters, Donna Wagner Nichols (DJ) and Ashley Wagner (Calvin) both of Laurinburg; brother, Paul “Pee Wee” Wagner, Jr., of Laurinburg; grandchildren, Gavin Lee Nichols, Calley Louise Smith, Andrew Bryce Nichols, Grayson Gage Nichols; and beloved dog, Sissy that he dearly loved; along with a host of loving nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, extended family, and friends.
Services will be held on Monday, March 9, 2026 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel with visitation beginning at 2 :00 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. followed by the funeral service at 3:00 p.m.
A private interment will be held at a later date.
