Jerry Robert Cole

Jerry Robert Cole, age 71 of Maxton passed away Tuesday, May 11, 2021.

Jerry was born February 15, 1950 in Marlboro County, son of the late Jack Cole and Julia Snipes Cole and the devoted husband to the late Judith Carole Lewis Cole. He was a Veteran who proudly served his country in the United States Army, going on to work with WestPoint Stevens, Inc. He attended South Laurinburg Baptist Church. Jerry loved sports and was an avid fan of the UNC Tarheels, Washington Redskins, and the Atlanta Braves. In his leisure time, he enjoyed spending time riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. Jerry most treasured time spent with family and he will truly be missed.

He is survived by his son, Robert Charles Cole (Hiromi) of Lemoore, CA; daughter, Katherine Houston (Alex) of Danville, VA; brother, Greg Cole of Bennettsville, SC; sisters, Jackie Dunn of Rockingham, Susan Chavis of Laurinburg, Jay Locklear of Wagram; grandchildren, Collin Cole, Amber Cole, Alex Houston, II, Katelyn Houston, Megan Horton, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.

A Graveside Entombment Service will be at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, May 16, 2021 in the Laurinburg Memorial Park.
