Jerome Franklin Gibson

Jerome Franklin Gibson, age 56 of Laurel Hill passed away on January 9, 2026.

He was born September 24, 1969 in Scotland County, NC, loving son of the late Bennie “Pete” Franklin Gibson and the late Paula MacDonald Gibson. Jerome was a talented mechanic working for David’s Body Shop for many dedicated years. He enjoyed gardening, canning his fruitful bounty, racing, and working on Fox Body Mustangs. His greatest joy came from time spent with family and the memories they created. Jerome will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by brother, Charles Gibson and sister, Sheila Gibson.

He is survived by daughters, Bridgett Danielle Gibson and Cayla Lynn Gibson both of Wagram; son, Alexander “Alex” Joseph Gibson and his mother, Shannon Sanders of Lumberton; sister, Lisa Gibson of Laurinburg; grandchildren, Mikah Scott, Aubrey Blue, Rosanna Taylor, and Kaylani Demery; along with many loving extended family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel followed by a time of visitation with the family.
