Jean Robson Coleman of Hamlet, beloved mother, sister and aunt passed away at the age of 89 on April 13, 2025.
Jean was one of fourteen children of the late Burch and Mandy Steen Robson born November 27, 1935 in Marlboro County, South Carolina. She was the loving wife of 44 years to the late Thomas Ray Coleman who preceded her in death in 2003. In addition to being a wonderful homemaker, she also worked in textiles with JP Stevens, Inc., until retiring. She enjoyed working with flowers and for several years loved having a home florist business sharing her creations with others. Her heart held a special place for her K9 companions and she loved caring for each of them. Jean’s greatest joy came from time shared with family and friends.
Along with her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by brothers, Earl Robson, Garrison Robson, John "Doug" Robson, David Robson, James Willard Robson; and sisters, Elizabeth Robson, Sue Robson Rishel, and Patricia Ann Robson.
Jean leaves to cherish her memory her devoted son, Danny Ray Coleman of the home in Hamlet; her siblings, Libby Hughes (Hal) of High Point, Catherine Robinson (Phil) of Candor, Curtis Robson of Rockingham, Jerry Robson (Janice) of Cordova, Wanda O’Neal (Tommy) of Rockingham; along with a host of loving nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Services will be held 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 17, 2025 in the Richmond County Memorial Park Chapel with entombment following. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. in the cemetery chapel.
Memorial donations are quested to be given to the church of one’s choice.
