Jay Ingram of Laurinburg, NC, formerly of Hamlet, departed this life at the age of 58 on October 11, 2023.
He was born August 7, 1965 in Rockingham, North Carolina, loving son of the late John Edward Ingram, Sr., and the late Ann Sanford Ingram. After high school, he earned his Electrical and Welding Certification from Richmond Community College. Jay was a dedicated employee of Harbor Freight Tools working as a heavy equipment operator in the Distribution Center. He also enjoyed working with family at Tony Poole’s Body Shop and Towing. He loved his time of worship at Northview Harvest Ministries where he faithfully attended. Jay was an avid NASCAR racing fan, enjoyed fishing, cooking, and known as a “grill master”. Jay will greatly be missed and fondly remembered as a loving husband, step father, grandfather, brother, and devoted friend.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, John E. Ingram Jr.; and nephews, Adam Hancock and Jason Ingram.
Left to cherish his memory is his adored wife, Toni Catherine Poole Ingram of the home; stepson, Chris Ingram (Misty) of Rome, GA; stepdaughter, Austin Pruitte (Thomas) of Laurel Hill; sisters, Carol Criscoe (Tommy) and Teresa Hancock (Jimmy) each of Rockingham; grandchildren, Abigail Locklear, Kameron Locklear, Karah Wallace, and Ariya Wallace; along with a host of loving family and friends.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 16, 2023 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel with burial following in Richmond County Memorial Park. A time of visitation will be held prior to the services from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
