Jasper Lee Turner

Jasper Lee Turner, age 77 of Laurinburg, NC passed away on January 20, 2026.

He was born April 5, 1948 in Jackson Springs, NC, loving son of the late John Turner and the late Pauline Hatcher Turner. Jasper worked in the manufacturing industry as a machine operator for many devoted years with Carolmet Cobalt Products until medically retiring. He loved being outdoors in his barn which he considered his special place. Jasper also loved fishing and being on the water, hunting, working in his garden, and tinkering on lawnmowers. He was affectionately known as the “Project King”, always having some kind of project in the works. Jasper was a quiet man who never met a stranger. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, devoted brother, and friend who will be dearly missed.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Randy Gibson, Donald James Turner; and sister, Linda Joyce Haywood.

Left to rejoice in his memory is his wife, Judy Ann Lee Turner; sons, Chris Bennett (Sarah) of Jackson Springs, Andy Bennett (Hope) of Spartanburg, SC; daughter, Lori Ann McLean (Frank) of Huntersville; brother, Raymond Gibson (Teressa) of Laurel Hill; grandchildren, Mathew Bennett (Jordan), Madisyn Bennett, Shelby McLean, James McLean, Ashton Hamilton (Chris), Chase Bennett, and Andrew Bower (Kyla); along with a host of loving nieces, nephews, extended family,  special friends and fishing buddies.

A funeral service will be held 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 22, 2026 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel. 

Visitation will be held prior to the service on Thursday beginning 3:00 p.m. until 3:45 p.m. at the funeral home.
