Janie Carol Fields Dickens of Laurinburg, NC departed this life for her Heavenly home at the age of 75 on June 3, 2026.
She was the loving daughter of the late Ralph Cleo Fields, Sr. and the late Betty Ruth Williamson Fields, born January 24, 1951 in Scotland County, NC. She loved serving the Lord and was a faithful member of East Laurinburg Church of God for many years. Janie enjoyed being outdoors working in the yard, tending to her flowers, or taking care of her animals. Above all, she cherished time spent with her family and the wonderful memories they shared. Janie was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who will truly be missed.
Left to rejoice in her memory is daughter, Leslie Lynn Baxley-Dickens of Laurinburg; brother, Ralph Cleo Fields, Jr. (Sandra “Kay”) of Wagram; sister, Brenda Fields Sinclair (Jim) of Arizona; grandchildren, Ali Stephens, McKensi Norton, Cameron Scott, Eden Jones; great-grandchildren, Abbilynn and Archer; nieces and nephews, Kristi, Duncan, Elizabeth (Jesse), Ralph “Slick”, Susan; great-nieces and nephews, Sydney, Kynleigh, Miley, Gabriella, Tristin, Chloe, Riley, and Lacie; and former husband, Stephen Paul Dickens; along with many extended family and friends.
