Janice Scott Laviner

Janice Scott Laviner, age 65 of Wagram passed away Thursday, July 30, 2020.

Janice, daughter to the late Roosevelt Scott and Anna Brayboy Scott was born July 9, 1955 in Robeson County. She retired after many years with J. P. Stevens Textile Corporation and was a member of Mt. Hebron Holiness Church. Janice was devoted to her family and enjoyed taking care of others. Her family will remember her as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Rev. Ronald Scott, Alton Scott, Vonnie Scott, Raymond Scott, Billy Ray Scott; sisters, Cathy Chavis and Patsy Jacobs.

Janice leaves behind to cherish her memory, husband, Rudolph Laviner of the home; son, William J. Laviner (Beverly) of Rocky Mount; daughter, Pam Wiggins (Danny) of Wagram; brother, Bertie Bullard (Barbara) of Maxton; sisters, Betty Jacobs, JoAnn Scott, Reedy Jacobs (Roger), Carol Scott all of Maxton; grandchildren, Brandon Reed, Daniel Wiggins, Dylan Laviner, Ashley Laviner; great granddaughter, Jordin Reed, and a host of many loving nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 2, 2020 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel, officiated by Rev. Gary McMillan and Pastor David Hunt. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery.

A time of visitation will be from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. Saturday, August 1, 2020 at the funeral home.

Due to the current COVID-19 Mandate, facial masks or coverings are requested and attendance will be limited.
