Jane Johnson Herndon

Jane Johnson Herndon, age 83 of Wadesboro passed away March 31, 2021.

Jane Johnson Herndon, was one of eleven children, born May 12, 1937 in Horry County, SC, to the late Dock Johnson and Zinkey Rabon Johnson and wife to the late Billy Herndon. She was a member of Peele’s Chapel Wesleyan Church and dedicated her life to family as a homemaker. Jane loved people and enjoyed talking to anyone who would listen. She most enjoyed family and spending time with each of them. They will remember her as a devoted mother, loving grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

Along with her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by a son, Marion Webster and eight siblings.

Jane leaves behind to cherish her memory, sons, James “Jamie” Wayne Webster of Hamlet, Rodney Everette Herndon of Forest City; daughter, Lisa Smith (Bill) of Summerville, SC; brothers, Billy Johnson of Atlanta, GA, Bobby Johnson of Concord; seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 8, 2021 in the Peele's Chapel Church Cemetery.
