James "Raymond" Seals

James “Raymond” Seals, age 79 of Laurinburg, NC passed away at his home on Saturday, January 9, 2021.

Raymond was born in Scotland County to the late Jim Cub Seals and Mattie Ann Locklear Seals on December 11, 1941.  He is preceded in death by a son, Jessie James Seals. Raymond was a farmer that loved being outside tinkering, working on anything mechanical, especially John Deere and International tractors. Working with his hands, woodworking, watching western programs and movies gave him great joy.  Raymond was a great provider and devoted family man who was always willing to help others in need.

He is survived by his loving wife of almost 54 years whom he first met while picking cotton, Jeanette Locklear Seals of their home; son, Don Christopher Seals (Debbie) of Wagram, NC and daughter, Jennifer Webb of Foxfire, NC, along with a host of loving family.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Bowen Family Cemetery in Laurinburg.

Covid-19 mandate requires facial masks, social distancing and limited attendance at all services.
