James "Jimmy" Edison Bracey, III

James “Jimmy” Edison Bracey, III, age 65 of Maxton passed away, Thursday, May 27, 2021.

Jimmy was born June 20, 1955 in Baumholder, Germany, son of Genell McCumbee Bracey and the late James Edison Bracey, Jr. He was the life companion to the late Kimberly Ann Quick. He worked throughout his lifetime, serving the community as a handyman, gifted at working on various appliances. Jimmy will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Along with his father and companion, he is preceded in death by his brother, Robert Wesley Bracey.

Jimmy is survived by his son, James Edison Bracey, IV of Maxton; daughter, Jayme Bracey (David) of Wagram; mother, Genell Bracey of Maxton, along with his extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel, officiated by Rev. Charles Barton and Rev. Kieran Barton. Burial will follow in Pinecrest Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Monday, May 31, 2021 at the funeral home.
