James “Jamie” Ralph Snipes, loving son, brother, uncle, great uncle, and friend passed away at the age of 54 on Sunday, May 4, 2025.
He was the loving son of Renee Godwin Snipes and the late David C. “Sonny” Snipes, born March 31, 1971 in Scotland County, NC. Jamie was a valued employee of Lee Electrical Construction Inc., where he truly enjoyed his work as a foreman for many years. He attended and enjoyed the fellowship at East Laurinburg Baptist Church. Jamie was an animal lover, enjoyed riding motorcycles or being out on the boat. He loved playing softball and was a member of the Hall of Fame in Confederation Softball, and was a huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys. His greatest joy was family and friends and the time they shared together. Jamie will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Left to rejoice in his memory is his mother, Renee Snipes of Laurinburg; twin brother, David “Davie” Franklin Snipes (Becky) of Laurinburg; sisters, Susan Renee Snipes Sager (Kraig) of Tennessee, Angela “Angi” Batten (Joseph) of Laurinburg; nephews, Tyler Snipes (Bethany), Andrew Batten (Yai), Garrett Sager (Ashley), Stephen Boone (Ivy); nieces, Morgan Sager Pilaczynski (Joey), Jamie Burris (Frank); and great nieces and nephews, Laiya Burris, Lukas Burris, Miles Pilaczynski, A.J. Pilaczynski, Landon Sager, Giovanni, Ellie Boone, and Oakley Boone; along with his many devoted friends.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. on Friday, May 9, 2025 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel with burial following in Hillside Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to services on Friday beginning at 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
