James Tyndall, age 78 of Gibson passed away on Monday, January 11, 2021.
James was born in Scotland County, NC to the late Frank Tyndall and Lessie Scott Tyndall on April 4, 1942. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings Winford, Jessie, Franklin “Tom”, Odell, Rufus, Pearl, Hazel and Joyce. James was a member of Huckabee Grove Emanuel Holiness and enjoyed working on small engines, gardening, cooking, cleaning, cutting grass at the church and going to the beach.
He is survived by his wife Myra Tyndall of the home; son, James Phillip Tyndall of Laurinburg, NC; step-sons, Jerry Barnes of Laurinburg, Jeffrey Shepherd (Marie) of Bennettsville; daughters, Teresa Carlisle of Hamlet, NC, Pamela Caulder and husband Buddy of Laurel Hill, NC, Susan Ward and husband Michael of Laurel Hill, NC; sister, Margaret Tyndall Miller and husband Shorty of Michigan; sisters-in-law, Ruby Willis (Ray), Terri Thomas (Kenneth), Dale Tripp, Leola Love, Joyce Grooms, Peggy Strickland, Brenda Slocum, Deborah Harrington (Ernest), Daisy Locklear (Dan), Ruby Tyndall, Sarah Tyndall; brothers-in-law, Johnny Strickland (Patty), Dennis Williams; grandchildren, Chasity, Christy, Cierra, Jeffrey, Chris, Anthony, Joshua, Sabrina, Jennifer, Bridget, Courtney, Michael, Jr; twenty-six great grandchildren; one great great grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
Services will be on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at 3:00 pm in the Richard Boles Chapel with a time of visitation prior to the service from 2:00 until 3:00 pm.
Covid-19 mandate requires facial masks, social distancing and limited attendance at all services.
