James Blackman Lockamy

Mr. James Blackman Lockamy, age 92 of Wagram, NC departed this life on August 6, 2025.

Born July 14, 1933 in Cumberland County, NC, son of the late Roy D. Lockamy and the late Dixie Crumpler Lockamy. James was a Vietnam War Veteran who proudly served in the United States Army. He was extremely talented in his work as an Electronic Engineer working with the Honeywell FMA Corporation for many dedicated years until retiring. James served as a member of the First Christian Church of Fayetteville. He was a southern gentleman who had a love for everyone he met. His greatest joy was time spent with family and friends and the memories they shared. James will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 62 years, Gail Morgan Lockamy; brother, Sonny Lockamy; and sisters, Daisy Pilkington and Mildred Reninger.

James is survived by son, Rick Lockamy of Clyde; daughters, Connie Wilie and husband, Timothy of Weaverville, and Rose Lockamy of Fayetteville; sister, Martha Wilshire of Chesapeake, VA; ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; along with a host of loving extended family and friends.

The family is having a service at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 17, 2025 at First Christian Church, 1505 Ft. Bragg Road, Fayetteville, NC 28305.
